Major James M. Stewart receives the Air Medal from Colonel Paul Schwartz. The ceremony is being conducted at a Liberator base of the U.S. Army Air Forces somewhere in England. As this photo was made, Major Stewart had 10 missions to his credit, including bombings of Berlin, Brunswick, Frankfurt, and Kiel.
