General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Allied Commander of the Invasion Forces, presents the Distinguished Service Cross, second highest U.S. Award, to Captain Don S Gentile. Captain Gentile has a total of thirty German planes to his credit. He holds the Distinguished Flying Cross with three clusters, the Air Medal with three clusters and the British Star.
